Shlomo Dovrat is a recognized global leader in the hi tech entrepreneurial and investment scene with over 40 years of experience. Shlomo began his career as a hi-tech entrepreneur, eventually becoming CEO and Chairman of several leading high-tech companies and bringing them to IPO. In 2000, Shlomo co-founded Viola, Israel’s leading and largest technology-investment group with over $4.5B AUM. Founded in 2000, Viola has backed over 200 technology companies and stands with a disproportional share of Israel’s successful public listings and M&As, such as ironSource (acquired by Unity), Pagaya (Nasdaq: PGY), SimiliarWeb (NYSE: SMWB), Outbrain (Nasdaq:ob). Viola is comprised of four focused separate investment arms, including Viola Ventures, focused on early-stage investments ($1.4B AUM), Viola Growth focused on growth-stage companies ($768M AUM); Viola Credit which provides debt and alternative funding ($900M AUM) and Viola FinTech – a cross-stage fintech fund ($120M AUM). Prior to founding Viola, Shlomo founded and served as CEO of Oshap Technologies and Teconmatix, Israeli technology companies that were traded on Nasdaq and subsequently sold in 1998 and 2005, respectively. Mr. Dovrat also served as Chairman of ECI Telecom from 2002-2007. Shlomo also co-founded Vintage, which acts as a global venture platform that invests in the world's leading venture funds ($3B AUM). Shlomo currently serves on the board of directors of several leading companies, such as Unity, Outbrain and ProteanTecs. Today, Shlomo brings his extensive experience in leading software companies from inception to successful initial public offerings or sales, as well as leading and mentoring high growth technology companies. In addition to his highly successful business career, Shlomo has been actively involved in numerous philanthropic and public organizations and initiatives in the areas of social and economic development. He was appointed by the Israeli government to be the Chairman of the National Task Force for the Advancement of the Educational System, served as the chairman of the Israel Democracy Institute, founded Aharon Institute for Economic Policy and a co-founded Pnima – an Israeli movement aimed to address the polarization in Israeli society.
