Shimon Sheves is an Israeli native, though educated at the University of New Haven. He earned a degree in business and public administration and began his civil service career as Chairman of the Golan Economic Development Company. Later, Shimon Sheves moved to the Israeli Defense Ministry as the Defense Minister personal aid. When Rabin ran for prime minister, Shimon Sheves was his campaign manager and later, in office, Rabin's Chief of Staff and Director General of the Prime minister’s office. In 1995, Shimon Sheves decided to leave politics for the private sector. Due to his established reputation, he began to work in the international finance industry. He joined a number of prestigious investment boards and ran off with his career as an independent. In 2002, Shimon Sheves joined forces with three co-founders to found RSLB. The motivation behind RSLB was his recognition that Israeli companies seek U.S. funding and investment partners and need connections to do so successfully. Having garnered significant experience, and collected a number of valuable relationships with American business through his career in both the political and private sector, Shimon Sheves knew he had the wisdom to truly help Israeli companies jump into the global economic game. RSLB is based in Washington D.C. The company strategizes introductions to various types of Israeli companies or individual entrepreneurs with developmental-stage products. The idea is that the company will connect with its partners at this foundational stage in their work and therefore the investor and the company build together. RSLB also works with clients who are ready to market but require outside funding in order to release their product in the best way possible
