Terra Security, the first Agentic-AI continuous penetration testing platform, raised a $30 million Series A round led by Felicis, with participation from Dell Technology Capital and SVCI. The company has raised $38 million in total funding. Former Google CISO Gerhard Eschelback has joined the board of directors.
The Series A comes just four months after its Series seed announcement, led by SYN Ventures and LAMA Partners with participation from Underscore VC and notable angel investors, including Eschelback, founders of Talon Security Ofer Ben-Noon and Ohad Bobrov, Google VP of Research Yossi Matias, and Sysco CISO Charles Tango.
Terra has been named the winner of the 2025 AWS & CrowdStrike Cybersecurity Accelerator, held in partnership with NVIDIA. Selected from hundreds of startups worldwide, Terra was chosen during a live final event by an esteemed panel of judges: George Kurtz, CEO of CrowdStrike; CJ Moses, CISO of Amazon; and David Reber, CSO of NVIDIA.
“Traditional penetration testing hasn’t evolved in decades, leaving organizations vulnerable to sophisticated attacks that manual testing or automated solutions simply can’t simulate at scale,” said Gal Malachi, Co-founder and CTO of Terra Security. “This investment will enable us to expand the offensive security use cases we support, strengthen our R&D capabilities, grow our team, and scale our go-to-market efforts as we transform how enterprises approach offensive security testing. We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible when you apply purpose-built AI to security testing.”
“Cybersecurity is at a critical inflection point where AI is transforming how we approach penetration testing," said Jake Storm, General Partner at Felicis. "Terra’s specialized AI agents simulate real attackers at scale, replacing slow, manual pentests with live, exploit-driven insight. We're thrilled to lead Terra's Series A and partner with Shahar, Gal, and the team as they redefine the future of security testing."
Terra Security also announced today that the company has launched the first agentic-AI-powered continuous penetration testing platform, with a human-in-the-loop mechanism, that provides scalable, business-context-aware, and tailor-made testing to enable precise, exploit-driven assessments aligned with real-world risks.
Unlike legacy automated tools that struggle to mimic attacker behavior, Terra’s agentic-AI platform continuously identifies deep, high-impact vulnerabilities across complex enterprise systems, bringing together the precision of expert human testers and the scalability of AI. Looking ahead, Terra plans to expand its offensive security stack with agentic-AI-driven red teaming and broader enterprise attack surface coverage. While offensive security use cases like penetration testing and red teaming are critical for uncovering exploitable weaknesses before attackers do, most organizations still rely on slow, manual, point-in-time assessments that are expensive and practically impossible to scale.
Terra’s swarm of AI agents runs thousands of advanced tests continuously, tailored to each organization’s unique risk profile and business context, transforming how security teams run offensive security programs.
Founded in 2024 by CEO Shahar Peled and CTO Gal Malachi, Terra operates with a team across Israel and the US, and serves major enterprise customers, including Fortune 500 companies. The new capital will support hiring, enhance AI agent capabilities, and fuel continued customer adoption.
