Warsaw-based sports technology startup ReSpo.Vision has successfully raised €4.2 million in a recent funding round. The investment, led by venture capital firms Vinci and Smartlink, also included participation from Premier League footballer Jan Bednarek and prominent angel investors like Marcin Zukowski (Snowflake co-founder) and Amar Shah (Wayve co-founder). This funding will fuel ReSpo.Vision's expansion into broader broadcasting, rights-holding, and digital platform markets.
ReSpo.Vision utilizes AI-powered tracking and visualization solutions to create immersive 3D experiences for fans and provide in-depth data analysis for sports organizations. Their innovative single-camera 3D tracking system offers cost-effective data capture, making advanced analytics accessible to a wider range of clubs and leagues. This technology allows for the creation of "Digital Twin Technology," offering fans unique, player-perspective replays of key match moments.
The company's technology is already being used by major international competitions like the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 and national associations such as the Polish and Danish FAs. The funding will allow ReSpo.Vision to further develop and expand its offerings, enhancing the fan experience and providing valuable insights to the sports industry. The company's innovative approach has garnered significant attention, highlighting the potential for growth within the sports technology sector.
