Read AI, a growing AI startup, has gained attention by raising $50 million in a Series B funding led by Smash Capital. This advancement comes only six months after their $21 million Series A, reflecting strong momentum fostered by over 100,000 new account creations among enterprise and individual users.
Co-founder David Shim attributes this growth to innovative integrations, including the enhancements within email, Slack, and tools like HubSpot, Jira, and Confluence.
Read AI’s newly released Chrome extension, available for free, allows users to manage schedules, meeting reports, and messages seamlessly, elevating functionality beyond typical meeting transcriptions. Smash Capital’s Brad Twohig praised Read AI's product-led growth model, underscoring its balance between serving a broad audience while holding enterprise appeal.
"We see the opportunity for Read AI to be a team co-pilot," he mentioned.
With 40 staff members presently, Read AI plans to boost its workforce to 100 by early 2025, supported by ongoing backing from Madrona and Goodwater Capital.
