Phia, a fashion shopping app, recently closed an $8 million seed round, led by Kleiner Perkins.
Phia functions as a mobile app and browser extension. It helps users compare prices across over 300 million fashion items. The platform aims to simplify online shopping, acting as a comprehensive fashion search engine.
Kris Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Michael Rubin, Sara Blakey, and Sheryl Sandberg also participated in the round.
Soma Capital provided an initial institutional check, connecting Phia with Kleiner Perkins.
Launched in April, Phia already serves approximately 500,000 users. The company employs Gen Z-focused marketing strategies, including founder-led content and social media engagement. This digital-first approach drives rapid user acquisition.
Phia's AI-Powered Fashion Platform
The fresh capital will primarily fund team expansion. Phia currently operates with a 12-person team. The company envisions a future with personalized shopping agents, syncing calendars and suggesting purchases or resales. This enhances the e-commerce innovation landscape.
Phia competes in a dynamic market alongside platforms like Lyst and ShopStyle.
