Nova, a merit-based global professional network, has secured €3.2 million in a funding round led by CDP Venture Capital, through the ServiceTech segment of its Corporate Partners I Fund. The round also included participation from BY Venture Partners and angel investors from the Doha Tech Angels network.
Founded in 2020 by Andrea Marino, Ramón Rodrigáñez, and Lars-Henrik Friis Molin, Nova operates a curated network of over 25,000 professionals across more than 80 countries. The platform has collaborated with over 800 companies in sectors including consulting, investment banking, venture capital, marketing, and technology.
The newly raised capital will support Nova’s international expansion, enhance its mobile app experience through AI-driven matching algorithms, and scale its B2B SaaS solution, Nova Recruiter—positioned as an alternative to LinkedIn for talent acquisition.
The company plans to grow its presence in key European cities and further develop its proprietary technology to improve professional matchmaking and recruitment efficiency. Nova’s model emphasizes selective entry, aiming to provide a high-quality network where each connection offers value.
According to CEO Andrea Marino, the funding reflects investor confidence in Nova’s economic model and positioning. Marino noted the strategic importance of markets such as the Middle East, where rising demand for skilled talent aligns with Nova’s offering.
CDP Venture Capital’s Laura Scaramella emphasized Nova’s fit within the services sector, highlighting its potential to streamline hiring processes and identify high-potential candidates.
