The capital will accelerate scientific research, pushing the frontier of artificial intelligence. Moreover, it addresses critical technological challenges across strategic industries: Mistral AI aims to develop custom decentralized frontier AI solutions.

Mistral's ecosystem is built upon a full-stack foundation designed for enterprise-grade AI development, starting with "La Plateforme" and "Mistral Compute."

La Plateforme serves as the core developer interface, providing access to their suite of frontier models through robust AI tooling and infrastructure APIs. This is directly supported by Mistral Compute, a sovereign European AI cloud solution engineered for optimized performance and data governance. By offering both the model access layer and the underlying compute, Mistral provides a vertically integrated environment that allows organizations to build and scale AI solutions on secure, dedicated infrastructure.

Building on this foundation, Mistral presents two specialized application layers: "Le Chat" and "Mistral Code." Le Chat transcends the typical conversational AI by functioning as a platform for AI agents, integrating enterprise search capabilities and self-learning mechanisms to tackle complex internal workflows. Mistral AI was founded in April 2023 by a team of three French artificial intelligence experts: Arthur Mensch, Guillaume Lample, and Timothée Lacroix.
