A former Google agency lead and a Spotify machine learning expert have launched Epiminds, a startup that’s building entire AI marketing teams, not just single-function tools. The Stockholm-based company emerged from stealth today with $6.6 million in seed funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Founded by Elias Malm (ex-Google) and Mo Elkhidir (ex-Spotify), Epiminds is tackling the chronic inefficiency plaguing marketing agencies. Instead of another dashboard or a niche optimization tool, the company has built a multi-agent AI system designed to run marketing campaigns from end to end. The vision crystallized after the founders, in a weekend project, simulated Sweden’s entire population as AI agents and realized 23,400 of them would be marketers.

An AI workforce, not just a tool

At the heart of the platform is Lucy, an AI marketing manager that directs a team of over 20 specialized AI agents. These agents collaborate on everything from budget pacing and performance reporting to bidding strategies and creative analysis. The company claims agencies can onboard a new client in under 30 seconds and instantly have an AI-powered team ready to go.

This approach aims to solve a core problem Malm witnessed during his time leading agency partnerships at Google: brilliant marketers are drowning in manual tasks. “Marketers are under more pressure than ever to do more with less,” said co-founder Mo Elkhidir. “Lucy and her team take on the busywork so that marketing talent can do their best work.”

Epiminds argues that while point solutions for AI exist, they fail to orchestrate the bigger picture. Its system is designed to connect insights directly to execution, learning an agency’s specific playbooks and proactively flagging risks. The goal isn't to replace human strategists but to augment them, creating what one customer called a system for "more effective collaboration between human expertise and AI."

The early traction is notable. In just twelve weeks, Epiminds has signed up agencies managing over 240 brands. Investors are betting this multi-agent model is the future. “It’s rare to see a team build something this ambitious, and we believe Epiminds has the potential to redefine how marketing gets done in the AI era,” said Paul Murphy, a partner at Lightspeed.

With the new funding, Epiminds plans to expand Lucy’s capabilities and increase the system's autonomy. The ultimate vision is a dynamic, 24/7 AI workforce that allows human marketers to finally escape their dashboards and focus on strategy and creativity.
