Databricks is rolling out a public preview of its custom URL feature, a move designed to consolidate access to its platform under a single, branded domain. Previously, each Databricks workspace had its own distinct URL, a system that became cumbersome as organizations scaled their usage.

The new Databricks custom URL, such as mycompany.databricks.com, replaces these individual workspace URLs. This change means users log in once and can seamlessly navigate across all accessible workspaces within their account, eliminating the need for repeated authentication.
Unified Experience, Streamlined Access
This unification simplifies daily workflows. For instance, a typical data task might involve moving between development, staging, and production workspaces. With custom URLs, a user’s login session persists, enabling fluid transitions without interruption.
