Cyera, a leader in data security, announced securing $300 million in Series D funding, raising its valuation to $3 billion.
The round was led by Accel and Sapphire Ventures, with participation from Sequoia, Redpoint, Coatue, and Georgian. The funding follows a $300 million Series C round earlier in the year, bringing Cyera's total funding to $760 million since its inception in 2021.
The startup, which operates in the $23.7 billion data security market, aims to enhance its AI-driven data security platform. This platform helps businesses manage and secure data across various environments, including cloud, SaaS, and on-premises systems. Cyera's technology allows for rapid data discovery, classification, and protection, providing real-time visibility and automated policy adjustments.
Additionally, Cyera acquired Trail Security for $162 million in October, enhancing its Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solution and adding significant talent to its team. This acquisition aligns with Cyera's strategy to address complex data security challenges for large enterprises.
