CoreWeave Expands AI Cloud in Sweden

The partnership focuses on increasing the availability of CoreWeave’s specialized AI cloud platform across two campuses in Stockholm, Sweden. Initial capacity is already live at Conapto’s Stockholm 4 South campus. This strategic move is designed to address the burgeoning demand from European AI labs, enterprises, and developers who require readily accessible, high-performance computing resources.

Powering AI with Sustainable Infrastructure

The new Stockholm deployment will feature the latest NVIDIA hardware, including the NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture and NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platforms, interconnected with NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand. This advanced setup is crucial for handling the most demanding AI workloads, from training complex foundation models to running low-latency inference. Notably, both Conapto campuses are powered by renewable energy sources, aligning with the increasing focus on sustainability within the AI industry.

Sachin Jain, chief operating officer at CoreWeave, highlighted the significance of Sweden in their European strategy. He stated that Conapto’s local expertise and commitment to sustainable energy are key factors in delivering the urgent, high-performance AI compute that enterprise deployments require. Håkan Björklund, CEO of Conapto, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing how advanced AI infrastructure and sustainability can coexist, especially with their use of 100 percent renewable energy and heat recovery systems.
