Amazon is gearing up for its annual shopping extravaganza, confirming that Amazon Prime Day 2026 will descend upon members globally in June. The e-commerce giant announced the event will feature significant discounts across a wide array of product categories.

Prime members can expect deals on everything from cutting-edge electronics and fashion to everyday essentials like fresh groceries and pantry staples. This year's event aims to provide value ahead of back-to-school shopping, emphasizing Amazon's fast, free delivery service.

The shopping spree will span 26 countries, including major markets like the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. However, members in Australia, Brazil, India, and Japan will see their Prime Day deals roll out later in the summer.

Last year's Prime Day set new records, marking the biggest event in its history. Customers reportedly saved billions, with independent sellers also achieving unprecedented sales figures. Amazon highlighted its delivery network, noting record speeds and billions of items delivered same-day or next-day.

This efficiency translated into tangible time savings for consumers, with US Prime members reportedly avoiding an average of 64 trips to physical stores. The company also underscored the savings on delivery costs, which in the US nearly quadrupled the annual membership fee.

Amazon Pet Days, a separate sale focused on pet supplies, will precede Prime Day, running for five days starting May 11th.

The company continues to integrate advanced technologies into its services. Recent developments include Amazon Connect AI solutions, which are evolving into agentic AI capabilities, and an expanded AWS OpenAI partnership aimed at enhancing AI development.
