Paris-based Altrove has raised $10 million in new funding. The company develops AI-designed materials to replace critical resources. The seed round was led by Alven. Bpifrance, Contrarian Ventures, and Emblem also participated in the investment. Altrove uses a proprietary platform to discover new materials. It combines artificial intelligence with automated lab synthesis and self-learning analysis. This process reduces discovery time from years to just weeks. The technology aims to reduce Europe's dependence on imported materials. Altrove has already created rare-earth-free and cobalt-free magnetic materials. These are designed for high-performance motors. It has also developed non-toxic, lead-free compounds for sensors and actuators. The company will use the funds to expand its labs and grow its team. It plans to scale production from grams to industrial volumes within two years. The first products are expected to launch in that same timeframe.
