(NYSE: MMI), the top broker in the United States based on the number of investment transactions, and Essex Property Trust, Inc. (NYSE: ESS), one of the largest apartment REITs in the nation. MMCT was created to ensure that these companies stay ahead of their competitors as technology evolves. Moreover, MMCT is focused on being a catalyst for change in the broader real estate industry. MMCT targets management teams that have experience in the businesses they are trying to change and companies that have garnered traction with their idea. We primarily invest in post Series A rounds and we are committed to helping early stage companies grow through utilizing their products internally and introducing entrepreneurs to our vast network of real estate professionals. Our capital is also discretionary which allows us to invest quickly and efficiently. Given the variety of real estate that we operate on a regular basis, we are extremely flexible in the sectors in which we allocate capital as long as a company is related to the real estate industry.
