WAF's AI Era Enhancements

Introducing Lenses

WAF is evolving from a static guide into an actively managed workflow. Continuous validation of deployments can be performed using Snowflake CoCo, an AI coding agent designed to simplify complex data engineering, analytics, and AI workflows.

WAF-aligned architecture templates are accessible via Blueprints and Blueprint Manager.

Automated Assessments with CoCo Skills

A new Snowflake CoCo skill automates WAF assessments, allowing teams to query platform health and receive configuration recommendations using natural language prompts. CoCo connects to Snowflake accounts via built-in Database Roles, providing direct results including scorecards, per-pillar visualizations, and prioritized improvement opportunities. Assessments can be exported as self-contained HTML reports.

This automation streamlines the process of identifying and rectifying architectural gaps, making it easier to maintain a robust and compliant environment.

Blueprint Manager for Guided Implementation

Blueprint Manager simplifies architecture setup for new Snowflake users, reducing technical debt by offering guided, WAF-aligned workflows for security, RBAC, platform foundation, cost optimization, and disaster recovery. These workflows generate necessary SQL and platform configurations, making best-practice architecture the default starting point. Available on GitHub, Blueprint Manager also helps existing customers translate WAF findings into actionable implementation steps, streamlining the transition from assessment to remediation.

Snowflake's partner ecosystem, including Accenture, is operationalizing the WAF to accelerate enterprise AI initiatives.
