Baseten, an AI inference platform, has successfully raised $150 million in Series D funding. Bond led the round, valuing the company at $2.15 billion. This investment follows a $75 million Series C round six months prior, significantly increasing Baseten's valuation.
The company provides essential infrastructure for deploying, managing, and scaling artificial intelligence applications. Baseten's platform enables trained AI models to generate predictions and decisions, a process known as inference. Furthermore, the company reported over 10x revenue growth in the last 12 months.
Powering the AI Application Layer
New investors CapitalG, Premji, and Scribble participated in the Series D. Existing investors Conviction, 01a, IVP, Spark, and Greylock also contributed to the round. Baseten's customer base includes notable companies like Abridge, OpenEvidence, Clay, Patreon, and Writer. The platform supports various AI models, from large language models to those generating video or converting voice to text. This positions Baseten alongside other key infrastructure providers like Hugging Face and Databricks in the rapidly expanding machine learning ecosystem.
