London-based Structured AI has raised €435,000 in a pre-Seed funding round. The investment was backed by Zero Prime Ventures, Airtree Ventures, and the Oxford Seed Fund. The company develops vertical AI agents to automate repetitive workflows for design engineers.
The startup targets a significant bottleneck in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC industry). Engineers currently spend up to 30% of their time on manual tasks like technical documentation. Consequently, this administrative burden slows project delivery, a major issue for an industry where established players like Autodesk are dominant.
AI Agents to Streamline Design Workflows
The Structured AI platform specifically automates the creation and management of technical paperwork. This approach aims to improve collaboration between engineers, architects, and general contractors. The team, with a background in AI research, is building a solution distinct from project management platforms like Procore.
Structured AI is already piloting its initial product within a top-150 US design engineering firm.
The company works closely with clients in two-week sprints to identify and solve workflow pain points. This method involves on-site collaboration and building lightweight prototypes directly into existing systems. Therefore, the goal is to create practical domain-native AI software that is safe to operate in regulated environments, a different approach than that of broader platforms like C3.ai.
