2 min read

Snyk, a global leader in developer security, has announced a significant expansion of its capabilities acquiring Enso Security, the pioneers of the industry's first Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) solution, and the launch of Snyk's latest innovation, Insights. These strategic moves aim to provide enterprises with the tools they need to manage and govern their developer security programs effectively at scale.
In June 2023, Snyk agreed to acquire Enso Security, subject to customary closing conditions, with the acquisition expected to close in Q2 2023. This acquisition, along with the introduction of Insights, a unique prioritization capability with code-to-cloud application intelligence, enables global enterprises to manage their overall AppSec posture more effectively.
The acquisition of Enso Security is part of SnykLaunch June 2023, a series of new innovations that further strengthen the Snyk Developer Security Platform. Other highlights include Insights, which provides AppSec teams with more effective prioritization of security issues, and DeepCode AI, which creates validated fixes as Snyk identifies issues in both human-written and AI-generated code.
ASPM is emerging as a priority across enterprises as application environments become more complex. Snyk will leverage Enso's ASPM capabilities, along with Insights, to offer the first and only developer security platform providing a holistic view of application security posture.
DeepCode AI, following the 2020 acquisition of DeepCode, became the backbone of Snyk Code. The acquisition of Enso Security marks the startup's sixth acquisition.
