Rocket.new, an Indian AI-powered app development platform, has secured $15 million in a seed funding round. Salesforce Ventures led the investment, with participation from Accel and Together Fund.
The platform enables users to build full, production-ready applications from natural-language prompts. Since its June beta launch, Rocket.new has attracted over 400,000 users and 10,000 paid subscribers across 180 countries.
Annual recurring revenue (ARR) currently stands at $4.5 million.
Rocket.new aims to differentiate from rivals like Lovable, Cursor, and Bolt by focusing on comprehensive, production-ready outputs. The platform combines large language models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google's Gemini.
Accelerating AI App Development
The Surat-based startup's technology builds on proprietary datasets from its previous venture, DhiWise. Users have created half a million applications, including e-commerce, fintech, and mental health apps. Approximately 45% of users build mobile apps, while 55% focus on websites.
Rocket.new offers a free trial, then a monthly subscription starting at $25. This model generates a gross margin of 50-55%. The United States represents Rocket.new's largest market, contributing 26% of revenue. Europe follows at 15-20%, with India at 10%.
The company plans to accelerate proprietary model development and R&D for its AI app development platform. A U.S. headquarters in Palo Alto is also being established.
