Opper AI Secures €2.5M Pre-Seed for Reliable AI Infrastructure

Stockholm-based Opper AI has successfully raised €2.5 million in an oversubscribed pre-Seed startup funding round. Luminar Ventures, Emblem Venture Capital, and Greens Capital led this investment. Several prominent angel investors also participated.

Founded in 2023, Opper AI launched its Task Completion API. This API assists developers in deploying AI-powered features reliably in production environments. The company aims to establish AI infrastructure as dependable as leading payment platforms.

Advancing AI Production Reliability

The Opper API introduces task contracts, enabling developers to define tasks using structured JSON. This method replaces manual prompt engineering. Consequently, it streamlines the development process for large language models.

Key capabilities include smart prompt generation and integrated evaluation loops. Furthermore, the platform provides access to over 80 models through a single API. This ensures robust model interoperability.

Full observability tracks every token, cost, and model interaction. This allows for workflow optimization.

Early adopter GetTested.io utilized Opper AI to streamline their AI pipeline for automated blood test reports. This demonstrates the platform's practical application. Unlike some developer tools such as LangChain, Opper AI focuses on ensuring production reliability.

The Opper AI founding team, including Göran Sandahl and Johan Gustafsson, brings over 50 combined years of experience. They previously built Unomaly, acquired in 2020. This expertise underpins Opper AI's focus on automated, production-grade systems, differentiating it from pure MLOps platforms like Weights & Biases.
