Nscale, a UK data centre startup, raised $1.1 billion in Series B funding. Aker, the Norwegian energy infrastructure group, led the round, with Nokia and Nvidia also participating.
This funding will deploy large-scale AI infrastructure across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Nscale currently develops OpenAI’s AI data centre projects, including StarGate Norway and Stargate UK.
Nscale, less than two years old, positions itself as a hyperscaler engineered for AI.
Furthermore, it serves as a key local AI infrastructure partner for Microsoft and Nvidia.
The company focuses on secure, compliant, and energy-efficient AI infrastructure solutions.
