Litehaus, a European construction technology startup, has successfully raised €1.46 million in pre-seed funding to expand its innovative home-building platform. The round was co-led by Cornerstone VC (UK) and Explorer Fund (Portugal), with participation from Claster Group (Luxembourg) and angel investor Pascal Levy (Long Journey Ventures, US). Litehaus aims to streamline the often fragmented and inefficient home-building process by connecting landowners and developers with various professionals, including architects, contractors, and designers, all within a single platform. The company leverages modular construction techniques to achieve significant cost savings, faster build times, and enhanced sustainability.
The funding will be instrumental in scaling Litehaus's operations and expanding its team. The company plans to bolster its engineering, product, marketing, and operations departments to meet the growing demand for its services. Litehaus's founders, Thibault and Simi Launay, drew inspiration from their own challenging experience building a home in Portugal, highlighting a critical need for a more efficient and transparent system within the construction industry.
