71% of Americans approve of labor unions, including 52% of Republicans, according to a Bloomberg Podcast interview with AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler. The country's labor unions AI job displacement concerns are sharpening as workers watch automation creep into office work.
47% want unions to hold more power. Shuler, who leads the federation representing about 16 million workers, said membership hit a 16-year high with 500,000 new members last year.
