HotGreen Solutions has raised £1.2 million in pre-seed funding. The company develops ultra-efficient, high-temperature heat pumps. This technology aims to electrify industrial process heat and reduce emissions. Empirical Ventures led the investment round. Industrial heat production is a major source of global CO₂ emissions. HotGreen Solutions' heat pumps offer a low-carbon alternative to traditional boilers. They generate steam efficiently for industries like food and beverage processing. The systems are designed to integrate with existing infrastructure. The technology is up to four times more efficient than conventional boilers. A typical installation takes only three to five days. This quick integration minimizes disruption for factories. It also avoids the need for costly facility overhauls. A facility can save around €500,000 on annual energy costs. It can also cut CO₂ emissions by about 3,000 tonnes each year. The company states that the investment payback period is under two years. This makes the technology financially compelling for businesses. Strategic investors include Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. The new capital will help HotGreen Solutions scale its technology. The company will focus on pilot projects and commercial deployments in the food and beverage sector.
