Aachen, Germany-based CleanTech company everwave has successfully closed growth financing. Viessmann Generations Group led the round as a strategic partner. KSK-Wagniskapital and existing shareholder SistaAct also participated, alongside the European Social Innovation and Impact Fund.
everwave, founded in 2018, develops waste collection boats and barriers to clean waterways. The company prevents plastic waste from reaching oceans. Furthermore, it employs AI in environmental tech to detect and analyze trash, ensuring environmental processing of collected materials.
Expanding Global Clean Water Initiatives
This new funding enables everwave to significantly expand its international projects. The company plans to scale operations globally, focusing on new locations in South East Asia. It also aims to build local recycling infrastructure and raise awareness.
Since its inception, everwave has collected over two million kilograms of waste. This includes efforts in rivers across Thailand, Cambodia, and Albania. The company's certified plastic credit system allows businesses to offset their plastic footprint. This model offers a transparent way to support sustainable solutions. Competitors like The Ocean Cleanup and Plastic Bank also address plastic pollution.
The strategic partnership with Viessmann Generations Group supports everwave's development of scalable solutions. This strengthens its position as a leading European impact company in waste management and the circular economy.
