Encube has launched with $23 million in new funding. The Stockholm-based startup will use the capital to expand its AI-driven engineering platform in the United States and Europe. Investors in the round included Kinnevik, Promus Ventures, and Inventure.
Most of a product's final cost is determined during its initial design. Early design decisions can lock in high manufacturing expenses and a large carbon footprint. It is often difficult for engineers to predict how their choices will affect production down the line. This can lead to expensive problems that only appear once manufacturing begins. Encube's platform solves this by integrating manufacturing data into the design process.
