Amsterdam-based HospitalityTech startup Toppi completed its first investment round, securing nearly €1 million. X Investments led the round, with additional participation from Ollie Dapper and William van Lith. This capital injection will accelerate product development and scale Toppi Hospitality AI solutions for the hospitality sector.
Founded in 2024 by Will Everingham and Lars van Tilburg, Toppi helps restaurants, cafés, bars, and hotels convert online interest into actual guests. The company offers Toppi Essential, an AI platform managing online visibility, and Toppi Co-pilot, which combines Toppi Hospitality AI with on-demand services. Over 200 hospitality businesses have utilized Toppi to enhance visibility and fill capacity.
Moreover, Toppi reports clients experiencing significant increases in profile views, website clicks, and direction requests. Emiel van Dongen joins Toppi as Co-founder and CTO. He brings extensive experience in Python, AI, and data infrastructure. He will therefore lead product development as the company expands its offerings.
Scaling AI for Hospitality Growth
The hospitality industry faces rapid shifts in consumer behavior, particularly with evolving AI search trends. Toppi's AI-powered marketing and operations tools address this challenge. Consequently, the company aims to help operators adapt to new guest discovery methods. This startup funding round enables Toppi to further develop its AI solutions in a competitive market.
