DeepRoute.ai, an autonomous driving technology firm, has successfully raised $100 million in its Series C1 funding round. This round was led by a prestigious Chinese automotive OEM, which hasn't been disclosed.
Founded in 2019, DeepRoute.ai has rapidly become a leader in autonomous driving, pioneering "map-free" navigation technology that enables vehicles to navigate urban and highway routes without high-definition maps. This breakthrough debuted in 2023 as the first of its kind in China, setting the stage for DeepRoute.ai to launch its end-to-end autonomous solutions in mass-produced vehicles.
Since August, the company has delivered approximately 20,000 vehicles equipped with its autonomous technology. The startup plans to introduce over 10 new vehicle models in collaboration with select OEM partners next year.
As the startup's vehicles continue gathering valuable data, it aims to achieve full autonomy without human oversight, opening the door to unsupervised robotaxi services through partnerships with mobility platforms. Unlike traditional robotaxis that depend on pre-mapped data and restricted zones, DeepRoute.ai’s scalable, end-to-end solution promises cost-effective deployment across diverse regions, bringing advanced autonomous driving technology to a broader audience.
