Cyviation Secures $4 Million Funding for Aircraft Cybersecurity

Israeli aircraft cybersecurity company, Cyviation, announced the raising of a $4 million funding round. Pioneering the domain, Cyviation provides comprehensive solutions including fleet assessments, aircrew training, and Aviation SIEM - a specialized cyber event management for aircraft.

Already in commercial phase with its SkyRay™ solution, Cyviation collaborates with various industry stakeholders, including commercial airlines, OEMs, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies. Notably, Polaris Aviation Solutions, a global aircraft management firm, is among the early adopters of the SkyRay solution.

The company's advanced assessment tools offer continuous monitoring of fleet vulnerabilities, recommending proactive measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crews from cyber threats. Cyviation also provides cyber training and education, introducing pilots to cyber events through flight simulations and updating them on evolving cyber threats. Their airborne cybersecurity includes real-time intrusion detection for cockpit communications, networks, and in-flight entertainment systems. And their cyber incident management module aids airlines in handling cyber incidents, enabling real-time alerts and post-event forensics.

Based in Herzliya, Israel, Cyviation was formed in 2021 to protect commercial airlines and private jets against cyber threats. They're a spinoff of Israel Aerospace Industries' ELTA Systems, a state-owned weapons and defense company. In addition to ELTA Systems, the company's investors include Highline Capital, Alora Ventures and Stonecourt Capital.

The company is led by CEO, Avi Tenenbaum and CTO, Nissim Belzer.
