Catena, a universal API for telematics and logistics data, secured $5 million in seed funding. Floating Point led this round. This investment establishes Catena as a leader in freight data infrastructure.
The seed round also saw participation from Shaper Capital, Teamworthy, Plug and Play, SpringTime Ventures, Liquid 2, Blue Moon, and Blue Impact Supply Chain Ventures. Furthermore, over 20 logistics executives joined as investors. This financing brings Catena's total funding to $8 million since its January 2024 incorporation.
Catena provides a single modern API for fleet telematics. It connects fragmented freight data, powering solutions for payments, brokers, insurance, and fraud detection. The platform also enables advanced AI in logistics.
The company unifies data scattered across thousands of systems. This allows partners like Truckstop, PortPro, and Tread to scale solutions efficiently. Catena currently connects over 300,000 vehicles.
Enhancing Freight Data Infrastructure
New capital will accelerate Catena's product development. It will expand integrations with telematics and logistics data providers. Moreover, Catena plans to scale partnerships with brokers, insurers, shippers, and fintech firms.
These efforts will broaden the platform's capabilities. They will support services from payments and insurance to compliance and AI-driven operational tools. Catena aims to build trusted freight data infrastructure for the industry.
