German AI firm Black Forest Labs closed a $300 million Series B funding round, establishing a post-money valuation of $3.25 billion.
Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP) co-led the investment, drawing participation from established firms including a16z, NVIDIA, and General Catalyst.
The company intends to direct the new capital toward expanding its core research and development capabilities in foundational AI models. This funding validates the rapid commercial traction Black Forest Labs has achieved since its August 2024 inception, particularly in generative imaging technology. Black Forest Labs specializes in creating and refining large-scale models for image synthesis and modification, which are increasingly integrated across the creative software ecosystem. Its models are already utilized by prominent platforms such as Adobe, Picsart, and Vercel, indicating deep integration into professional workflows.
