Don't Touch The Snail

Don't Touch The Snail is an "anti-cozy" indie game that functions as an idle clicker with a permadeath mechanic. The game takes place on the user's desktop, where a persistent snail chases the mouse cursor. Players must move the cursor to avoid being caught by the snail. If the snail catches the cursor, it's game over permanently. Upon failure, the game can still be opened, but the snail becomes friendly and no longer pursues the cursor, allowing players to decorate it with acquired skins and access achievements. The fail state is recorded both locally and on the company's backend to prevent circumvention. The game features a leaderboard tracking player survival times.
