# Effective Domain Rating (eDR) Checker

## What it offers

- It returns eDR next to Ahrefs DR and the delta between them.
- Verdict is underrated when eDR is 12 or more points above DR, overrated when 12 or more below, and otherwise fairly rated.
- It breaks the score down by signal: AI citation, Brave rank, DuckDuckGo rank, entity authority and site health.
- It takes an optional keyword, and otherwise the query comes from the homepage title.

## Why it is different

- Five weighted signals shape the score: AI answer visibility 32 percent, Brave 18, DuckDuckGo 18, entity authority 18 and site health 14.
- The AI signal asks a search-grounded model the target query and checks whether the domain is cited, not merely mentioned.
- Site health uses real-user field data first and falls back to a lab Lighthouse run, and a signal that is unavailable is dropped and the score re-normalised.

## How to use it

1. Enter a domain.
2. Optionally set the keyword to test.
3. Run it and wait while the signals are computed, up to about 90 seconds.
4. Read the eDR, the DR, the delta and the verdict, then the per-signal breakdown.

- Inputs: A domain, and an optional keyword.
- Outputs: eDR, DR, the delta, the verdict and a per-signal breakdown with weights, as a page or as JSON.

## Limits and plans

- Without an account, the checker is free with no signup.
- A run can take up to about 90 seconds and results are cached for a day.
- The HTTP endpoint needs no API key; the MCP tool needs one.
