Prime Video is betting big on Jack Reacher. The streamer has greenlit a fifth season of the Alan Ritchson-led action series, extending its run ahead of the Season 4 debut. This early renewal underscores the franchise's significant global appeal.

Amazon MGM Studios head of global television, Peter Friedlander, hailed 'Reacher' as a "powerhouse franchise," noting its ability to blend high-octane action with compelling character arcs. The series, based on Lee Child's best-selling novels, has consistently resonated with a massive audience.

Season 4 will dive into the 13th book in the series, 'Gone Tomorrow.' The plot sees Reacher drawn into a dangerous game after a chance subway encounter turns deadly, pitting him against powerful adversaries.

The third season of 'Reacher' proved a major draw, attracting 54.6 million global viewers in its initial 19 days on Prime Video. It stands as the platform's most-watched season since the premiere of [Fallout](/ai-news/ai-research/2025/fallout-cloud-gaming-expands-with-new-vegas) Season 1 over a comparable period, highlighting the show's consistent performance and the streamer's commitment to its popular series.

Details regarding the Reacher Season 5 release date and production timeline will be announced later.
