# A Growing List of 23 Vibe Coding Tools [Updated October 2026] _This list covers 23 tools that build apps from plain-language prompts, grouped by what you want to make, with prices and plans verified on 24 October 2026._ **Published:** 2026-10-24 **Source:** https://www.startuphub.ai/ai-news/insights/2026/vibe-coding-tools --- Vibe coding, a term [Andrej Karpathy](/ai-news/ai-figures/2026/figure-andrej-karpathy-vibe-coding-agentic-engineering-2026-08-16) coined in February 2025, means describing an app in plain words and letting an AI build, run and fix it. These are the 23 vibe coding tools worth knowing in October 2026, grouped by what you are trying to make, not ranked one to 23. This is a living list and prices and plans were checked on each vendor's own site on 24 October 2026. This edition removed GitHub Spark which retired and stopped taking new users on 4 August 2026, Firebase Studio which stopped taking new users on 22 June 2026 and will shut on 22 March 2027, and Orchids whose site was paused by its owner. Hostinger Horizons is now called Hostinger AI Builder. | Tool | Try | Builds | Free plan | Paid from | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Lovable | Try | Web apps and sites | 5 credits a day, 30 a month | $25/mo Pro ($21 yearly) | | Bolt.new | Try | Web apps, mobile via Expo | 1M tokens a month | $25/mo Pro ($18 yearly) | | Replit | Try | Web apps, native mobile | Starter plan (in its docs) | $20/mo Core ($18 yearly) | | Base44 | Try | Web apps, store wrappers | 25 credits a month | $16/mo Starter (yearly) | | Emergent | Try | Web apps, mobile via Expo | 10 credits | $20/mo Standard ($17 yearly) | | Rocket | Try | Web (Next.js), mobile (Flutter) | 20 one-time credits | $25/mo Pro | | Anything | Try | Web and mobile apps | No free build tier | $24/mo ($19 yearly) | | Macaly | Try | Websites, web apps | 1M credits, 1 app | $10/mo Starter | | Trickle | Try | Sites, forms, web apps | 70 credits a day | $20/mo Pro ($17 yearly) | | Leap.new | Try | Backend-heavy web apps | 15 credits a month | $30/mo Pro 100 | | Rork | Try | Native iPhone and Android | Design mode only | $20/mo Pro | | v0 by Vercel | Try | Next.js web apps, UI | 7 messages a day | $30/mo Plus | | Magic Patterns | Try | Prototypes and UI | Limited monthly credits | $20/seat ($17 yearly) | | Figma Make | Try | Prototypes, web apps | 150 AI credits a day | $16/mo Full seat (yearly) | | Softr | Try | Portals, internal tools | 5 AI credits a month | $25/mo Basic ($19 yearly) | | Bubble | Try | Web and native mobile | Development version only | $39/mo ($32 yearly) | | Jotform AI App Generator | Try | Business apps, portals | Free to generate | $39/mo Bronze | | Hostinger AI Builder | Try | Sites and web apps | 5 credits to test | $2.49/mo (48-month term) | | Google AI Studio | Try | Web apps, Android apps | Free | No plan needed | | Dyad | Try | Web apps, on your computer | Free with your own keys | $20/mo Pro | | bolt.diy | Try | Web apps, self-hosted | Open source (MIT) | None | | Manus | Try | Websites and web apps | 300 credits a day | $20/mo Pro | | Steem | Try | WordPress plugins | 75 credits at signup | $10/mo Pro | ## What vibe coding looks like in October 2026 You write what you want, the tool generates the app, you click around the preview and ask for changes in chat, then you publish. This list is for people who do not write code, or do not want to for this project. If you do write code, you are better served by a different kind of tool, see our [AI coding tools for developers](/ai-news/insights/2026/best-ai-coding-tools-developers-2026). ## The four most people start with Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit and Base44 are where most people begin. You describe the app, get it running and publish, all in one place. They differ mostly in what they do for phones and how easily your code leaves. ### Lovable Lovable syncs code to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket even on the free plan, so the project never stays trapped. The chat builds web apps and websites and Lovable Cloud covers hosting, a database, sign-in through email, Google, Apple and Microsoft, plus file storage and server functions. Payments run through Paddle or Stripe and Supabase remains an option instead of Lovable Cloud. SimilarWeb estimates put lovable.dev at about 29.9 million visits in September 2026, more than any other site in the traffic table below. The free plan gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. Pro costs $25 a month, or $21 a month billed yearly, for 100 credits. It does not build native iPhone or Android apps. What builders say about Lovable on Reddit > Built a real company website in 3 weeks with Lovable as a non-developer. > > r/lovable, u/Ammalgamata, Apr 7, 2026. It creates websites, web apps and iPhone and Android apps through Expo with guides for App Store and Google Play. Bolt Cloud supplies hosting on a bolt.host address or domain, database, sign-in, storage and server functions, and Stripe for payments. Free includes 1 million tokens a month, 300,000 daily cap. Pro is $25 a month, or $18 billed yearly, for 10 million tokens. The Bolt Cloud database moves to a Supabase account. A $9 a month Lite plan limited to open-source models is waitlisted. [Try Bolt.new](https://bolt.new/)[Bolt.new profile and data](/startups/bolt-new) ### Replit Replit's Launch feature handles building, signing and uploading an iPhone app to App Store Connect from the Publishing tab. Agent also creates websites, dashboards, chatbots and Android apps through Expo. Hosting, PostgreSQL databases, file storage, sign-in and Stripe payments run on Replit and Git sync includes GitHub. Core costs $20 a month, or $18 a month billed yearly. The free Starter plan appears only in Replit's docs, not on its pricing page, and a free published app's link goes down automatically after 30 days. [Try Replit](https://replit.com/) ### Base44 Base44 puts hosting, a database, sign-in and analytics on every plan, free included. Payments run through Base44 Payments powered by Wix or through Stripe. The free plan gives 25 message credits a month, up to 5 a day, and up to 5 apps. Starter costs $16 a month billed yearly for 100 credits. base44.com had about 14 million visits in September 2026 by SimilarWeb estimates. Its App Store and Google Play apps are a native wrapper around the published web app, not native builds. Base44's own docs say an exported ZIP still relies on Base44 to run, so it is a copy of code, not a way to move the app off Base44. What builders say about Base44 on Reddit > I was honestly so amazed right off the hop at how quickly I could spin up a minimum viable product. I realized that long term, I was going to be tied to their backend, which could cause potential headache in the future. > > r/microsaas, u/nonguru22, Apr 19, 2026. Each takes a different angle. One runs Python under the hood, one builds phones with Flutter, one is paid only, one offers a cheap custom domain, one centers on a visual canvas, and one runs in your own cloud account. ### Emergent Emergent writes by default in FastAPI, React and MongoDB, which helps if a developer joins later. It handles the database, sign-in, Stripe or Razorpay payments and hosting on an emergent.host address and also produces Expo mobile apps with signed iPhone and Android builds. The free plan gives 10 credits and cannot publish to production. Standard costs $20 a month, or $17 billed yearly, for 100 credits. There is no download button and code leaves through Save to GitHub, from the Standard plan up. What builders say about Emergent on Reddit > Please help me get off emergent!. App Store submission means building the Flutter code in Xcode on a Mac. It connects to Supabase for the database, sign-in and storage, uses Stripe for payments and has hosted published apps on Vercel since August 2026. It dropped its Figma-to-code feature on 29 September 2026. The free plan is 20 one-time credits with no card. Pro costs $25 a month for 100 credits, with 20 percent off yearly. [Try Rocket](https://rocket.new/)[Rocket profile and data](/startups/rocket) ### Anything Anything previously operated as Create at create.xyz. It creates web apps, websites and iPhone and Android apps through Expo, with iPhone releases via TestFlight and Google Play publishing in beta. Building requires a paid plan. Pro costs $24 a month, or $19 a month billed yearly, for 20,000 credits. The project downloads as a ZIP at any time, and paid tiers receive an instant credit refund when a generation fails. [Try Anything](/outbound/JTdCJTIydSUyMiUzQSUyMmh0dHBzJTNBJTJGJTJGYW55dGhpbmcubGluayUyRnN0YXJ0dXAtaHViLWFpJTIyJTJDJTIycCUyMiUzQSUyMiUyRmFpLW5ld3MlMkZpbnNpZ2h0cyUyRjIwMjYlMkZ2aWJlLWNvZGluZy10b29scyUyMiUyQyUyMmslMjIlM0ElMjJhcnRpY2xlLXZpYmUtY29kaW5nLXRvb2xzLWFueXRoaW5nJTIyJTdE)[Anything profile and data](/startups/anything) ### Macaly Macaly runs an SEO audit after every publish. It creates websites, web apps and internal tools on Next.js and Convex. No native phone apps. Free offers 1 million credits a month and one app on a Macaly address. Starter is $10 a month and adds a custom domain, the cheapest option for that. Macaly Cloud lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex write code while Macaly supplies database, previews and hosting. [Try Macaly](https://macaly.com/)[Macaly profile and data](/startups/macaly) ### Trickle Trickle's Magic Canvas offers a board where landing pages, forms and small apps take shape. The free plan includes 70 credits a day up to 350 a month for 3 projects and 100 database rows. Pro is $20 a month or $17 yearly for 1,500 credits and a custom domain, and error fixes cost nothing. [Try Trickle](https://trickle.so/)[Trickle profile and data](/startups/trickle) ### Leap.new Leap.new deploys to your own AWS or Google Cloud account, which requires an Encore Cloud Pro subscription. It creates APIs, microservices and databases on Encore.ts and also offers a free Encore Cloud environment. Every app includes a GitHub repository with source and live architecture diagrams, the free plan gives 15 credits a month capped at 5 a day, Pro 100 is $30 a month, and phone apps are not supported. [Try Leap.new](https://leap.new/)[Leap.new profile and data](/startups/leap-new) ## When the app has to live on a phone ### Rork Rork writes native SwiftUI for iPhone alongside Kotlin for Android and React for web. The preview runs as a real iOS Simulator streamed to the browser, with App Store and TestFlight submission built in. The free plan covers design only with 35 design credits a month, while Pro at $20 a month for 100 credits unlocks building and publishing and Max starts at $200 a month to add iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro. Paid plans include two-way GitHub sync and ownership of the generated code. [Try Rork](https://rork.com/)[Rork profile and data](/startups/rork-inc) ## Design first: prototypes and interfaces For product people who need a convincing prototype or a real interface more than a hosted app. These options focus on design and front end, so you can show an idea or ship the interface and connect the rest later. ### v0 by Vercel v0 comes from Vercel and publishes to Vercel in one click. It generates full-stack Next.js web apps, interfaces and prototypes, with Neon and Supabase via the Vercel Marketplace and two-way GitHub sync included. Free plan allows 7 messages a day and new users get $5 of credits once, not monthly. Plus at $30 a user a month is now the cheapest option for new users since $20 Premium is closed, and ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers can connect their account so supported OpenAI model use is covered. [Try v0 by Vercel](https://v0.app/)[v0 by Vercel profile and data](/startups/vercel) ### Magic Patterns Magic Patterns works from an existing design system imported from GitHub, npm or Figma. It creates prototypes and high-fidelity interfaces but offers no production backend. Starter is $20 a seat a month or $17 yearly for 1,000 credits, with limited free allowance. Designs leave as code, GitHub sync, Figma export or via Cursor, Claude Code or Codex, and MagicOS, an infinite canvas for parallel tasks, launched 13 October 2026. It turns a prompt into a prototype or web app, publishes as a website and connects to Supabase, but push to GitHub is one way. Full seat is $16 a month on Professional billed yearly, Starter gives 150 AI credits a day up to 500 a month shared across AI features. What builders say about Figma Make on Reddit > A few hours trapped in Figma Make and I'm bored to tears. > > r/womenintech, u/AnnoyedOwlbear, Feb 24, 2026. The trade is usually the same. You get a faster and steadier build, but the app lives on their own platform. ### Softr Softr does not generate code at all, it assembles ready-made components. AI turns a prompt into pages, database and permissions for portals and internal tools, but no code export suits some and frustrates others. Credits aside, building continues in the visual editor, free gives 5 AI credits a month and Basic is $25 a month or $19 billed yearly. [Try Softr](https://www.softr.io/)[Softr profile and data](/startups/softr) ### Bubble Bubble, a no-code platform, now takes a prompt to generate interface, logic and database. Generating an app does not use AI credits, and one project can ship a web app plus native iPhone and Android apps. The free plan runs a development version only, going live needs Web Starter at $39 a month or $32 billed yearly. Apps cannot be exported as code, though Bubble says if it shuts down its source code will be released under an open-source licence. [Try Bubble](/outbound/JTdCJTIydSUyMiUzQSUyMmh0dHBzJTNBJTJGJTJGYnViYmxlLnB4Zi5pbyUyRm1Pa1o1NyUyMiUyQyUyMnAlMjIlM0ElMjIlMkZhaS1uZXdzJTJGaW5zaWdodHMlMkYyMDI2JTJGdmliZS1jb2RpbmctdG9vbHMlMjIlMkMlMjJrJTIyJTNBJTIyYXJ0aWNsZS12aWJlLWNvZGluZy10b29scy1idWJibGUlMjIlN0Q)[Bubble profile and data](/startups/bubble) ### Jotform AI App Generator Jotform charges nothing to generate apps and imposes no limit on how many to create. Collection is capped by the plan, and the free plan allows 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month. Bronze costs $39 a month, or about $34 a month billed yearly. Pasting a URL lets the builder match its design. [Try Jotform AI App Generator](https://www.jotform.com/ai/app-generator/)[Jotform AI App Generator profile and data](/startups/jotform) ### Hostinger AI Builder Hostinger AI Builder replaced Hostinger Horizons on 18 August 2026 when Horizons and the Website Builder merged. It creates websites and web apps from a prompt, a PDF, a screenshot or a link, with a built-in backend, databases, user accounts and Stripe payments. Premium is $2.49 a month on a 48-month term paid upfront, renewing at $10.99 a month. The code exports for hosting anywhere. What builders say about Hostinger AI Builder on Reddit > BAD EXPERIENCE with Hostinger Horizons!. I tried it. It generated its OWN internal coding errors and kept asking me "I can see the error. Do you want me to fix it"? kind of questions. > > r/Hostinger, u/Hot-Cost-2520, Mar 30, 2026. Build mode creates web apps with a React frontend and Node.js server and native Android apps in Kotlin. With approval it sets up Firebase for the database and Google sign-in. There is no fixed Build quota, and higher quotas require a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription or a paid Gemini API key. Web apps get GitHub sync and Android apps run in an emulator and install by USB. Firebase Studio stopped taking new users on 22 June 2026 and shuts on 22 March 2027. Google points its users to AI Studio. What builders say about Google AI Studio on Reddit > I used Google AI Studio to create a concept for a Zen browser app for smartphones. > > r/zen_browser, u/Adept-Meet-3402, Dec 1, 2025. [View on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/zen_browser/comments/1pb9srj/zen_mobile_concept/) > Gemini Pro models removed from Google AI Studio. I have a yearly subscription to Gemini AI Pro Plan with 5TB storage and have been using daily for vibe coding an app idea I have. [View on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/GeminiAI/comments/1wrg8wp/gemini_pro_models_removed_from_google_ai_studio/) [Try Google AI Studio](https://aistudio.google.com/) ## Open source, bring your own model Two builders you run yourself and pay the model provider directly. You can also run local models for nothing, which keeps costs and data under your control. ### Dyad Dyad runs on your computer as a desktop app and outputs Next.js. The free version needs no sign-up and works with a key from Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter, plus local models or a ChatGPT subscription. The free Basic Agent mode is limited to 20 messages a day. Pro costs $20 a month and Max $79. It connects to Supabase or Neon for the database and sign-in and syncs to GitHub. Version 1.20.0 came out on 19 October 2026. [Try Dyad](https://www.dyad.sh/) ### bolt.diy bolt.diy runs with no paid API at all, local models included through Ollama or LM Studio. It is the open-source version of Bolt that runs locally or in Docker and works with more than 22 model providers. Version 1.0.1 came out on 12 October 2026 and is in maintenance mode with no new features planned. [Try bolt.diy](https://github.com/stackblitz-labs/bolt.diy) ## A general agent that also builds apps ### Manus Manus operates as a general-purpose agent first and an app builder second. It sets up the database, sign-in and Stripe payments for landing pages, dashboards and full web apps with logins and databases. The free plan gives 300 credits a day and Pro starts at $20 a month with 4,000 credits. Hosting is billed separately on usage against monthly allowances. The codebase downloads at any time or syncs to GitHub. [Try Manus](https://manus.im/)[Manus profile and data](/startups/manus-ai) ## For WordPress sites ### Steem Steem produces a WordPress plugin rather than a hosted app, as a ZIP for any WordPress site. Every plugin boots in a WordPress instance in the browser, so the admin and front end work for a click-through before installing. The output is PHP with no runtime dependency on Steem and the code is owned. The free plan gives 75 credits, about one plugin, and Pro costs $10 a month for 500 credits, about 9 plugins. [Try Steem](https://steem.dev/) ## How busy each builder is | Tool | Try | Est. visits, Sep 2026 | Since July | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Lovable | Try | 29.9M | -12% | | Base44 | Try | 14M | +3% | | Replit | Try | 10.8M | -17% | | Emergent | Try | 5.9M | -36% | | Bolt.new | Try | 3.7M | -2% | | v0 by Vercel | Try | 3.2M | -9% | | Bubble | Try | 1.6M | -19% | | Rocket | Try | 736K | -20% | | Softr | Try | 569K | +5% | | Rork | Try | 503K | -12% | | Anything | Try | 229K | -49% | | Magic Patterns | Try | 214K | -9% | | Dyad | Try | 201K | +3% | | Trickle | Try | 178K | -3% | | Macaly | Try | 105K | +67% | | Leap.new | Try | 17K | -11% | SimilarWeb estimates for each tool's website, shown for relative scale. Google AI Studio and Manus are left out because their sites cover far more than app building. ## What builders say after the first week StartupHub.ai tracks and classifies these threads. Of 22 Reddit threads about Base44, Lovable and Emergent, 2 are positive, 8 mixed and 12 negative. Most come from each tool's own subreddit, where complaints collect, so the sample skews toward problems. Threads describe a pattern. The first version arrives fast, then changes get harder as the app grows. Credit costs climb on small edits. Users also worry about being tied to the platform's backend. The first version is the easy part. Before you choose, ask how changes are charged and how the code leaves. An app built by a vibe coding tool can hold real customer data and payments as soon as it is published. Before it takes sign-ups or payments, check it as you would any product that stores customer data. See our list of [security tools for vibe-coded apps](/ai-news/insights/2026/ai-security-tools-vibe-coded-apps-2026). ## If you already write code If you already write code, the tools on this list are not the same thing. Vibe coding tools build and host the whole app from a chat. Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Windsurf and Kiro are coding agents that work inside a codebase you own, from a code editor or the terminal. For that workflow see our [best AI coding tools for developers](/ai-news/insights/2026/best-ai-coding-tools-developers-2026), [AI coding agents developers use daily](/ai-news/insights/2026/ai-coding-agents-daily-2026) and [Cursor alternatives](/ai-news/insights/2026/cursor-alternatives-ai-coding-tools-2026). ## Frequently asked questions ### What is the best vibe coding tool for a beginner? For a beginner, Lovable or Bolt.new are the simplest starts. Everything is hosted, so you do not need to set up a backend, and the code can leave if you want. Lovable gives 5 build credits a day on its free plan, capped at 30 a month. Bolt.new gives 1 million tokens a month on free, with a 300,000 daily cap. ### Are there free vibe coding tools? Yes, but the free options differ. Google AI Studio is free of charge and builds full-stack web apps and native Android apps in Kotlin. Dyad and bolt.diy are free if you bring your own model key from providers like Google Gemini or OpenAI and run locally. Most other builders offer small free allowances. Anything, formerly Create, has no free way to build and requires a paid plan that starts at $24 a month. ### Can you export the code from a vibe coding app? Usually yes. Lovable offers two-way Git sync on every plan including free, though downloading code as a ZIP needs a paid plan. Base44 starts two-way GitHub sync on the Builder plan, but its own docs say an exported ZIP still relies on Base44 to run. Bubble apps cannot be exported as code. Softr assembles ready-made components instead of generating code, so there is no code to export. ### Which vibe coding tools build iPhone and Android apps? Several do. Rork builds native iPhone apps in SwiftUI and Android apps in Kotlin with a real iOS Simulator preview streamed to the browser. Bolt.new, Replit, Emergent and Anything build iPhone and Android apps through Expo. Rocket builds Flutter apps. Base44 store apps are a native wrapper around the published web app. Google AI Studio builds native Android apps in Kotlin and does not build iPhone apps. ### Is vibe coding the same as using Cursor or Claude Code? Related but not the same. Vibe coding tools build and host the whole app from a chat so you do not manage a codebase. Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Windsurf and Kiro are coding agents that work inside a codebase you own, from a code editor or the terminal, and they assume you can read and manage code. ## How this list is made Plans, prices and features were read on each vendor's own website, pricing page, docs or code repository on 24 October 2026. Monthly visits are SimilarWeb estimates for July to September 2026 and are shown for relative scale. Reddit sentiment comes from threads StartupHub.ai tracks and classifies on each company profile.
