# BRKZ raised $31M to automate materials buying _BRKZ raised $31M to expand its AI pricing and delivery agents that automate building materials procurement across Saudi Arabia._ **Published:** 2026-09-14 **Source:** https://www.startuphub.ai/ai-news/funding-round/2026/brkz-raised-31m-to-automate-materials-buying --- Riyadh-based BRKZ said September 14 it secured $31 million to scale its AI-enabled building materials procurement platform across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. The money is split for a reason. $13 million is Series B equity co-led by Wa'ed Ventures, the venture arm of Aramco, and 500 Global, with participation from BECO Capital and ANB Capital. Syndicated wire coverage listed the participant as Anb Seed Fund. Another $18 million is growth debt committed by Stride Ventures under a previously announced $30 million venture debt facility. BRKZ said the debt supports working capital and flexible payment terms for customers, while the equity funds product and expansion. The product surface is procurement, not a marketplace listing. Contractors and factories submit RFQs, and BRKZ routes them across 2,100 local and international suppliers and 150 factories, then handles pricing, quality assurance and logistics through one relationship. It now serves more than 1,500 contracting companies and says it has sold more than $133 million (SAR 500 million) in materials and processed more than $1.37 billion (SAR 5.13 billion) in RFQs since inception. Underneath is a pricing dataset built over three years. BRKZ cites about 38 million structured data points across 13,000 product records and 2,100 supplier profiles. Its AI pricing engine trained on approximately 40,000 RFQs predicts buy and sell prices and recommends suppliers for each order. The company reports 84% to 89% of predictions fall within 5% of the final transacted price, which compresses manual quoting to near instant while procurement teams keep final oversight. Fulfillment is where the agents run. Nusa, its delivery agent, autonomously processes bulk-cement deliveries by reading delivery-note photos sent by transporters over WhatsApp, matching them to orders, verifying quantities and closing deliveries. BRKZ says about three quarters of notes are now processed without manual override, with staff handling exceptions. Payment-term decisions are also AI-assisted using its proprietary payment-behavior history, but final approval stays with finance. Growth is the context for the raise. Revenue is on track to triple in 2026 after 2.5x growth in 2025, the company said, despite geopolitical and supply-chain disruption across the Middle East. Ibrahim Manna, founder and CEO of BRKZ, said the past year reinforced the need for reliable access to materials and dependable fulfillment. Wa'ed Ventures CEO Anas Alghatani and 500 Global Managing Partner Amjad Ahmad both tied their co-lead to the platform's data infrastructure and resilience through that disruption. What to watch is how far automation actually goes. Pricing remains advisory and payments still need human sign-off, so the platform gains speed without ceding control. BRKZ said the new capital will advance quotation and fulfillment automation, deepen vertical integration from raw materials to last-mile delivery, and expand direct supply corridors with China, India and other manufacturing markets. It also disclosed a strategic investment earlier in 2026 from SIC, the investment arm of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, linked to Vision 2030 industrial goals, and said it supplies projects including The Red Sea Project, Diriyah, Qiddiya, ROSHN and King Salman Park. Total capital raised now exceeds $70 million across equity and debt, with the Series B still open to additional strategic investors. --- Original analysis from [startuphub.ai](https://www.startuphub.ai), the #1 AI startup directory.
