Ever wonder how the pitch looks from your favorite footballer’s perspective? MindFly, an automated, end-to-end solution for mainstream sports that enables fans to watch any game from a player’s First-Person Point of View (FPV), now lets you experience the game as never before.
On Saturday, July 16, MindFly’s AI-powered bodycam will be used and showcased when Germany’s 1. FC Cologne (FC Köln) from the Bundesliga host Italy’s AC Milan, 19-time Serie A champions, at the RheinEnergieSTADION. The Telekom Cup, taking place in partnership with Deutschen Telekom, will feature MindFly and other new technologies as part of the “Innovation Game.” Two players from 1. FC Cologne will be wearing MindFly’s vests, giving fans a never-before-seen experience. The footage will be integrated into 1. FC Cologne social media following the match.
“We’re very excited to be featured in 1. FC Cologne’s upcoming match,” says Eran Tal, MindFly co-founder and CEO. “Using MindFly in football brings the excitement of the pitch to the fans. Our lightweight AI vests are designed to keep the player’s performance and feel the same as wearing a GPS vest, and athletes forget they are wearing it after a few minutes.”
MindFly offers pro sports fans a whole new way to experience a sporting event (games and behind the scenes). The AI bodycam captures the star’s eye view. AI-edited video clips are packaged, published, and distributed to social channels, and fans can watch them from the player’s POV or buy them as NFT clips.
The solution is perfect for social and for NFT and works for any sports rights holders – broadcasters, sponsors, leagues, clubs, and even individual athletes.
In May, MindFly signed an agreement with the EuroLeague, Europe’s top-tier league for professional basketball, whereby players in the upcoming season will be fitted with a MindFly AI-powered bodycam during games. Kicking the season off, two to three players will be wearing the bodycams during matches. Using this footage, MindFly’s cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) system will create First-Person Point of View (FPV) highlights for EuroLeague social channels. MindFly recently signed a similar agreement with the Bayern Munich Basketball club, where the club’s players will wear the bodycams during training sessions. The behind-the-scenes content will be used on its social platforms and later possibly sold as NFT.
MindFly is currently in advanced negotiations to sign agreements with major clubs and top football leagues in Europe and the USA and with several major broadcasters.
About MindFly
MindFly is an automated, end-to-end solution for mainstream sports that enables fans to watch any game from a player’s First-Person Point of View (FPV). The player captures the scene using the ultra-light, wearable MindFly AI BodyCam. The MindFly AI cloud platform stabilises, analyses, and auto-directs the scene (emulating a human director and camera person). It then generates and distributes pro-quality (4K, HD), ready-to-publish highlight clips optimised for all media channels, including social media platforms, NFT platforms, OTT platforms, websites, D2C apps and TV broadcast platforms on all devices (TV, mobile, laptops). The devices collect no personal data of any kind, and the footage is soon to be offered in a livestream.
The solution is perfect for social and for NFT and works for any sports rights-holder – broadcaster, sponsor, leagues and clubs and even individual athletes.
